3G is shutting down.
Here's what you need to do.
Major changes are happening in wireless. The 3G network is shutting down. This means, if your phone has access to only the 3G network it will no longer receive a signal. This does not apply to phones that have both 3G and 4G network compatibility. Only phones that are 3G-only.
A note about VoLTE: VoLTE is required for calls to work over the LTE network. Once the 3G network shuts down, if your phone is 4G or LTE compatible but does not include VoLTE capabilities, you may find that your device can text and access the internet but calling will no longer function. Keep reading to learn what to expect and what to do next.

Check to see if your phone will be affected.
Check the list below to see if your phone will be affected by the 3G shutdown. If your phone is VoLTE capable, it will continue to work after the 3G shutdown. The list is not exhaustive. Some phones that are compatible are not included in the list. The most accurate way to determine if your phone is VoLTE capable is to check your phone settings. Click here to learn how.
Check to see if your SIM card will be affected.
Older SIM cards, purchased and activated years ago, may not be compatible with VoLTE capable phones. If this applies to you, don’t worry! All affected Red Pocket Mobile customers were recently mailed a new SIM card that will work with VoLTE capable phones. Click here to learn how to update your online account with your new SIM card.
Upgrade your phone and or your SIM card
Once you’ve determined if you need to update your phone or your SIM card, take action! Contact Red Pocket Mobile customer support if you have not received your SIM card in the mail. If you need to upgrade your phone, visit redpocket.com/shop to view VoLTE compatible devices.
Enable VoLTE on your compatible device.
If you have a device that is VoLTE capable, and your SIM card does not need to be replaced, the final step is to enable VoLTE functionality on your phone. If your phone has VoLTE capability, but VoLTE is off, it will not work. Click here to learn how to enable VoLTE on your phone.

My phone is not VoLTE capable, I need a new phone. I don’t know if my phone is VoLTE capable or not. I don’t know if my SIM card is outdated and needs replacing. I don’t have my replacement SIM card. I have my replacement SIM card and I need to activate it on my account. My account has shutdown and I didn’t take action. I have upgraded my phone and / or SIM, but still get no signal.
